This company develops and manufactures high-performance optical fibre technology for use in telecommunications, cable television transmission and defense applications. The Australian based development of leading edge technology for this US owned company has resulted in a rapidly growing worldwide demand, with manufacturing and supply chain operations being expanded to cope.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the purpose of the role is to ensure coordination of shipments to meet customer demands within customs and financial requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Timely coordination of shipments to meet Customer expectations
• Meet customer and customs requirements for export documents
• Coordinate shipment related projects
• Receiving orders
• Working closely with freight provider
• Monitoring freight costs (consolidation)
To be successful for this position, you will ideally have:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong computer literacy
Excellent time management and organisation skills
The ability to work effectively within a team environment, whilst also having the confidence to work autonomously and manage your own workload
Superior verbal and written communication skills
A flexible and dedicated work attitude.
