This is an excellent opportunity to join this division of an international organisation, a market leader in the supply of mechanical componentry to heavy industry, a world leader in its specialised field.
This role offers an opportunity for an experienced purchasing officer or commodities buyer within a manufacturing environment to utilise their systems and process skills as well as develop long term strategic relationships with suppliers both locally and overseas. This is an exciting time to join the group in a time of innovation and growth.
The role involves purchasing of sheet metal, pressed and prefabricated components. You should have a minimum of 2 years experience in purchasing within a manufacturing environment. You will have great ability to read technical drawings and have general understanding of Networks Software, Hardware, CAD and MRP systems. The role requires input into system and process improvement and therefore experience with working to MRP11 principles would be highly regarded. SAP knowledge would also be an advantage. Preferably you should have some experience of purchasing to tailor made engineering specifications or a Purchasing & Supply or Material Management Certificate.
