Our Client, a leader in Technologies and Services in the food industry, has a vacancy available for a Inventory Controller with a background in purchasing.

The objective of your role is:

• To carry out forecasting and procurement of imported and local finished goods/raw materials.
• Review and manage inventory requirements of finished goods/raw materials.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to enable timely and efficient delivery of the products.
• Use your strong experience to simplify and improve Supply Chain Processes across multiple business units.

The Successful applicant will have:

• Formal qualifications in logistics or a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience with purchasing. Working closely with Sales and Customer Service teams and then into Manufacturing Nationally.
• Be a self motivated and team focussed person and have the ability to apply your strong analytical/numerical skills effectively.
• Demonstrated ability and experience in the various ERP systems with AS400 experience.

The role will also call for well-developed oral and written communication skills, good organisational skills, computer literacy and a team orientation.
