Global company seeks a project engineer / manager for HV motors and drives

Project Engineer / Manager Role:
The High Voltage (HV) Drives and Motors Project Manager is responsible for initialising, commissioning, and coordinating the delivery and installation of HV drives and motors to clients. The position involves the management of client orders from sale to installation, as related to large rotating machines and variable speed drives. The Project Manager will provide sales and management support for customer interactions, and complete project management of orders and contracts.
  
As the business  looks to continue its drive for a high performing and adaptive workplace through innovative systems and processes, the Project Manager role is vital. As the HV Drives and Motors Project Manager, you will support the business through the specialised application of your engineering skills, to aid the delivery of client service and project management. You will be tasked with differentiating the business  from its competitors, through innovating engineering solutions for customers, and providing end-to-end support in the commissioning and installation of orders.

Critical Competencies

  • Experience in electrical equipment- based project management with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Minimum Bachelor of Electrical Engineering qualification
  • Excellent client- facing ability, with an affinity for mediating complex situations
  • Strong capability to liaise between internal departments, and externally with customers, contractors, and suppliers
  • Budgeting and commercial skills
  • Superior organisational ability, with the capability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Technical engineering skills relevant to the electrical motor/ drive industry, as well as multi-software proficiency
  • Previous experience with process flow mapping, particularly with Gantt charts
  • Proficiency with MSProject
  • Strong commitment to workplace policy and procedure, especially as it relates to safe conduct within all workplace environments
